Not this year. But in 2003 and if you are 50 or older by the end of this year, you can most certainly put an additional $2,000 in your account. It does, though, need to follow a basic criteria. Your $2,000 contribution can only be made if you have "maxed out" your plan's contribution limits or you have met the IRS maximum limit. Check with your plan administrator on your plan's maximums. The IRS maximum for pre-tax contributions is $12,000 for 2003.
